THE GRAND ESCAPADE

Oh ho ho! What have we here? A most exhilarating top-down action-roguelite where you, a brave and sprightly squirrel, must navigate the treacherous depths of an ever-shifting tree! Treasure awaits the bold, my young sapling, as do marvelous power-ups and—most importantly—a way out of this confounded mess!

THE GENTLEMAN SQUIRREL'S GUIDE TO ADVENTURE

1. The Grand Entrance

Each escapade begins with a dashing drop into the central chamber of a freshly generated tree. Quite the conundrum we've gotten ourselves into, wouldn't you say? Every corridor and room is different each time—no two adventures alike! Splendid!

2. Exploration of the Formidable Infested Tree

• Push through rooms most varied—from passages tight as a dormouse's waistcoat to cavernous arenas!
• Doors lock behind you until all enemies meet their just comeuppance! Show them some REAL bark!
• Keep your whiskers attuned to special markings on your mini-map

3. The Collection of Worldly Treasures

• Every defeated ant drops coins
• Loot chests for immediate enhancements!
• Should you fall in battle, you'll keep nothing—so spend boldly, my young sapling!

4. A Visit to the Esteemed Shop

• Make the acquaintance of the Shop Keeper, a jittery squirrel shopkeeper of most reputable character!
• Purchase upgrades most spectacular

5. Confrontation with the Fearsome Boss

• Locate the sealed boss door, peruse the warning, then boldly step forth!
• All exits lock—it's merely you and the Queen Ant in a most spectacular showdown!
• Defeat her to claim victory! Oh ho ho!

ADVICE FROM A GENTLEMAN SQUIRREL

• Perpetual motion is key! Many enemies telegraph before striking—strafe to maintain your dignity intact.
• Leave no room uncleaned. Dispatching enemies with haste fills your coffers most efficiently!
• Spend before confronting the Queen. Coins, alas, do not accompany one between adventures.
• Do investigate chests. Some nasty ant may steal your hard earned treasure if not collected!
• Consult your mini-map regularly. Special rooms are guaranteed each run: 1 Shop, 2 Chest rooms and 1 Boss room.
